Why Should You Attend Summit Ridge?
Summit Ridge Middle School services grades 6, 7 and 8. It is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School that encompasses the Middle Years Programme (MYP). This schoolwide framework promotes academic rigor and promotes international mindedness for all students in all classes.
At Summit Ridge, we believe in an education that empowers students to make interdisciplinary connections that will reach beyond the classroom. Our inquiry-based classrooms allow our students choice and, thereby, results in students who are creative, critical, and reflective thinkers.
As an IB World School, we value teaching the whole child; therefore, Summit Ridge requires students to take eight core classes:
- Arts
- Design
- Individuals & Society
- Language Acquisition
- Language & Literature
- Mathematics
- Physical and Health Education
- Sciences
Summit Ridge also offers a variety of afterschool clubs, sports and academic support. The school is in the Dakota Ridge High School articulation area, which supports the Pre-K through 12th grade learning experience.
